International Women's Day #PressforProgress

Natasha Kaplinsky OBE, broadcaster, Strickly star and Save the Children Ambassador

Wednesday 7 March 2018

Lady Margaret School
£10 + Eventbrite booking fee. Includes a soft drink or glass of wine

Exactly 100 years after the school was established and (some) women got the vote, there is still an urgent need to #PressforProgress. The school is hosting a panel discussion around this year's IWD campaign theme on Wednesday 7 March from 6.30pm in the school hall. We are delighted that Natasha Kaplinsky, who has a niece at the school, has volunteered to chair the panel.

There will be lots for panelists to talk about. A very appropriate Centenary celebration theme. Research indicates ‘gender parity is over 200 years away'. Can we get there faster? We’d love to hear the opinions of Old Girls and views of our community.

Join us at a time when the goal to achieve gender parity continues to gain momentum here and around the world. Everyone is welcome, so please spread the word. Ask family, friends and neighbours to come along and be part of a lively discussion.

Put your questions to the panel, or simply listen to an informed discussion about issues important to us all.

Tickets £10 (+ Eventbrite booking fee) includes a glass of wine or a soft drink (with ticket).

Students (aged 15+) Free But registration is required for entry and a free drink (with ticket).

Please join us for a drink from 6.30pm before the event starts at 7.30pm.

For this event we are looking for volunteer help with a sound system - microphones and a mixing deck and someone who can operate it, are our requirements!

All proceeds from the evening will go towards our Centenary Garden, created from voluntary contributions, for the benefit of the school and community. If you would like to hire the Garden for your own use or the organisation you work for, please contact
