The Centenary Birthday party

The school traditionally celebrates its birthday on Michaelmas Day and in September 2017 it was a special one! The school marked the occasion in its usual joyful way on Friday 29 September with services at All Saints and a Bake Off afterwards, judged by the Bishop of Kensington. On the following day...
On Saturday 30 September 12-5pm Old Girls, parents, grandparents and past parents (about 900 in all) attended the school Centenary Birthday Party. It was perfect opportunity to meet former classmates for lunch and enjoy a celebratory drink, to see how much of the school had changed by taking a guided tour and view stunning exhibitions of past events and people. On arrival Old Girls were issued with a lanyard which identified the decade they attended school, making contemporaries easy to spot! Old Girls brought artifacts from their time at school – class pictures, school reports, formal form photographs – and wore the school blazer that had been in the wardrobe all those years! There was a netball tournament too. At 3pm there was a cake cutitng ceremony in the Centenary Garden.
